Lucinda
Digital Strategist

Lucinda Callie is a digital strategist at SUMO, a Perth based creative digital agency renowned for its strategic approach to the digital space.
Originally from South Africa, Lucinda moved to Sydney were she studied a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the University of Sydney. Since then, her career has seen her take up a diverse range of roles, from online design, to a university lecturer on Photoshop, Design, project management, strategy and online media. She has also owned her own graphic design business.
Lucinda’s more recent work history in Sydney has seen her work with many high profile national and international brands. Lucinda spent three years as the multimedia manager for business management software developer SAGE. She then moved to the role of senior producer and account director for three years at Visual Jazz and EMITCH both of which are part of the Mitchell Communication Group. Here she ran the creative department of EMITCH, and developed her real passion for the online space. Her role saw her working on accounts such as Tourism Queensland, AMP Capital, World Vision, Tennis Australia and Hoyts. She then worked as a senior account manager in the digital space for NetX, the digital arm of Clemenger. Here she worked on a range of clients including Virgin Atlantic, Elizabeth Arden, The Smith Family and Greater Union. Lucinda was then contracted to health brand Blackmores to work on the health giants’ digital strategy and a new website content management system.
Lucinda’s most recent role as Account Director at Hothouse saw her working on Toyota’s digital account which included search engine marketing, analytics, and strategy. In this role she helped work on Toyota’s first ever social media strategy which yielded big results for the automotive giant.
Now based in Perth, Lucinda is heading up the digital strategy team at SUMO. In her role, Lucinda will be actively working with SUMO’s extensive client list and the business development team to create new ways of thinking and to expand client offerings in this ever changing, ever growing channel. By combining her years of knowledge with SUMO’s 25 full-time staff, the agency is set to continue changing the way businesses think and connect through digital.
